Established Patient Sessions

This is the time where we work on the goals developed during the intake session to resolve the challenges you are experiencing.  Session lengths vary depending on your needs but are generally within a 30-60 minute time-frame.  Some patients prefer to schedule many appointments in advance while others prefer to schedule week-to-week. Your needs determine the frequency of sessions (e.g. weekly, 2x per week, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.).

Any of these services are available for individuals seeking counseling: children, adolescents, adults, or those in a relationship.  Which type of service, or combination of services, might be best for you can be discussed during the consultation or intake sessions.

Family / Relationship Counseling

Session lengths vary from 45-80 minutes and typically focus upon mending relationship conflicts, improving parenting skills, improving parent/child interactions, and a variety of other challenges that may affect the family or relationship system.

New Patient Intake

This is the first session for new patients and where our formal relationship is established.  This is a 45-60 minute session where we discuss your history (personal, family, medical, psychological, legal, and work/education backgrounds), the current challenges you are experiencing, how these affect you, and how we can work together to resolve these by creating a plan for your treatment.

Free Consultation

Not sure if you're ready for counseling? Some people are ready to get started immediately while others may need more information or time to decide if counseling is right for them. This is a 30 minute informal meeting which provides an opportunity to meet the counselor, ask questions that would help you in your decision-making, and determine if we would be comfortable working together before committing to treatment.
